Quantity Surveyor / Contracts Administrator - Batam STEEL & PIPING (Mechanical)

Our client is an Engineering, Construction, Building and Maintenance company with a global presence. Their expertise is based on complex infrastructure projects in building, mining, oil and gas, petrochemical, power, transport, water and public infrastructure, and they have ongoing projects throughout the South East Asian region.

There is currently an immediate requirement for a Quantity Surveyor to be based at the Batam Fabrication yards. Candidates will need to have a substantial amount of experience on construction, infrastructure and fabrication projects you will be required to work at the Batam facility.

Candidates will need to display;

5+ years in quantity surveying or contracts administration
Expereince working with Structural steel and piping projects
Experience working for a managing contractor
A good team player with a hands on attitude
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal;
Good analytical and strategic thinking capabilities;
Excellent problem solving abilities.

The ideal candidate for this role will have at least 5 years in a Quantity Survey capacity within the Construction or Fabrication industry and it is expected that you have a relevant degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management and Economics, or similar.

Your role and responsibilities will include, but is not limited to;

Preparing progress claims
Submitting Variations
Document flow distribution
Coordination of subcontract and supplier agreements
Managing all incoming and outgoing contractual correspondence
Providing comprehensive support for all contract administration processes
Provide support in claim management and documentation including variation management, reporting and contract entitlements;
Prepare procurement documentation ensuring that suppliers, subcontractors and consultants are fully aware of their obligations for project delivery
Work with Project Managers to accurately forecast costs and income
Sub-contract documentation preparation

URGENTLY REQUIRED

We are an international group of companies urgently seek for the following positions:
MARINE MANAGER / SUPERINTENDENT

Qualification :

Minimum COC Class 2 Navigation
Sailing experience on board tankers as Master or Chief Officer minimum 2 years
Strong knowledge of Tankers Terminal Vetting (e.g. SIRE), Flag Admin & Class requirements
Familiar with STWC Manning matters & able to handle Indonesia crew management
Monitoring & ensure that all vessels comply with the flag / class / terminal requirements
Willing to travel at as short notices & sail on board if required
Fluent in English Oral & Written

Computer literate
(competence in using Microsoft Office)
